Adventure Into Books is an independent bookshop and coffee shop in the heart of Blairgowrie, Perthshire.
We offer a wide variety of new books across a multitude of genres.
The Games Vault
We have a large (and growing) selection of board games, card games and puzzles which are situated inside the old bank vault in the basement of the building.
From Codenames to Great Western Trail, D&D books to Dobble, you're sure to find something you'll love!
The Reading Room
Tucked away in the back of the shop, the reading room is home to art, poetry, sports and music books.
With tables to sit and enjoy a quiet coffee away from the noise of the main shop section.

We also offer a wide range of plant-based and gluten free cakes.
Adventure Into Books was originally founded by Kate & Ralph in 2020, and handed over to Shaun in August 2025. He can now claim that all those years of voracious reading have finally been for something.
Accessibility
Adventure Into Books is spread over 3 levels, with seating available on each level.
The main section of the shop is wheelchair accessible with 2 tables for sitting in. This floor has the fiction, non-fiction, children's, crime & thrillers, and environment. We have a disabled access toilet available on this floor.
The back section, the reading room, is up a small flight of stairs and holds art, poetry, sports and music.
The basement has the games vault, fantasy, young adult, horror, sci-fi and romantasy, alongside additional seating. There is a flight of stairs to reach this part of the building.
